Questions to bring to your next appointment

A starter checklist of good questions β€” pick the ones that fit you.

Why this matters

Visits are short. Walking in with a few written questions helps you get the most from your time.

The main things to know

  • Choose 2–3 questions that matter most to you for each visit.
  • Write down the answers, or bring someone to help you remember.
  • It is always okay to ask your team to explain something again.

Questions you might ask

  • What type of ILD do I have, and how certain are we?
  • What do my latest breathing tests show compared to before?
  • What is the goal of each of my medications?
  • Should I be doing pulmonary rehabilitation?
  • What symptoms should make me call you β€” and what counts as an emergency?
  • Are vaccinations or infection precautions part of my plan?
